How can I tell if a Hypnotherapist is qualified and how do I chose one?
All Hypnotherapists must belong to a professional association such as the ‘Hypnotherapy Society’ or ‘The Professional Hypnotherapy Practitioner Association’. They must also be fully insured. The hypnotherapist should have evidence of belonging to these professional associations on their website, or if he / she does not have a website, then you should ask to see their professional certificates when you see them.
It is best to contact them on the phone and have a chat to see if you like them and then arrange to meet them. You will be trusting them and spending a lot of time with them so you must feel comfortable and confident that they will be able to help you. It is also advisable to look at their client feedback.
